Autoclave construction and operation - incorporating construction by bolting together shells and end-plates, automatic programming and fluid recycle

Constructing and operating autoclaves and steam generators includes the construction of autoclaves from concentric shells and plates, programming the operation of autoclaves, controlling the flow of operating fluids and the provision of a condenser and condensate collector. Concentric shells are fitted into rabbets machined in plates, fitted with O rings in e.g. silicone, to ensure longitudinal fluid-tightness. One plate forms the end of the autoclave, the other carries the door. The space between the shells receives the heating medium, e.g. steam. The operation of centrifuges is programmed and the flow of operating fluids is controlled by a shaft driven by a motor so as to make one revolution per operating cycle. The shaft carries a cam to operate the door and a cam which pinches flexible tubes of e.g. silicone, which carry the fluids, at the required times for operation. The condenser and condensate receiver allows a boiler which supplies steam to e.g. an autoclave to be put under vacuum by cooling at the end of an operating period, and to be refilled with water by suction from the condensate specifically. Provides means autoclaves construction specifically for partic. uses, automatically controlling the operating cycle and permanently recycling water used in a boiler supplying heat to an autoclave.
