The educational toy includes a rubber band (10), which carries scale graduations, to allow proportional measurement to be taken. The scale graduations aremarked along the central section of the band (10), which is held by the free section (11) at each end and the coefficient of elasticity of the band (10) is constant for the central section. The toy may have a base (1) with one or more perpendicular rods (2, 3) on which a number of elements (5) can be positioned, one on top of the other. These elements can be divided into several different categories, with the rubber band (10) used to measure the proportion of elements in each category.
