The multiple layer ski has a core, with upper and lower longitudinal bands or straps covering the core and running along the ski. There are shaped edges which support a cover layer or running surface at a small distance from the bank or strap. Both straps (2, 3) have holes (8) distributed along them. The core (1) consists of foamed plastic which fills the holes of both straps (2, 3) and the spaces (9) between them as well as the lower layer or running surface (6 or 5). The plastic binds the straps (2, 3) to the layers (5, 6) and the edges (7A, 7B, 4A, 4B).
