Reinforced concrete floor slab - is made from precast ribbed concrete bases with aerated concrete infill and top of load bearing concrete

The floor slab is made from several concrete bases (1) which have longitudinal reinforcing bars (2) separated and fixed in place by horizontal sinusoidal connection wire (3). Rectangular concrete ribs (4) run along the surface of the bases and contain links (5) between the base reinforcing bars and an upper reinforcing bar (10). The space between the ribs is filled by aerated insulating concrete (6) and a upper casting of high compression concrete (9) ties the elements of the slab together and transmits load from its upper surface. Using the pre-cast bases a floor can be constructed without the need for shuttering.
