Permanent magnet driven linear or rotary motor - relies entirely on attraction and repulsion forces of permanent magnets to give motive force
A rotary or linear motor is driven by the effect of attraction and repulsion of permanent magnets. The application of the motor is intended to be general in that it requires no external supply of energy or driving force. Permanent magnets (6) are included in the approximately triangular cross-section rotor elements (2), the magnets form one outer corner of the triangle and the rotor moves within a cage (1) holding against basically triangular elements in a nose to tail fashion the whole acting as the motor stator. Bearings for the rotor shaft are provided by magnets (3, 4) resulting in a frictionless support, but may also be orthodox ball races.
