The buoyancy bags when deflated are stored under the open channel (6) which is fixed to the gunwale of the vessel (7). The channel is fixed on the upper side (61) and opened on the lower side (62). The bag is made from polyeurathene and extends the whole length of the boat. The boat is provided with a compressed air bottle connected to the buoyancy bags. When the bags are inflated the air forces them out of the channel (8). Buoyancy in this position adds stability also to the craft.
