A device for feeding a liq. onto a liq. surface with minimum mixing comprises a grating at the liq. surface and a vertical-axis just above the grating consisting of radial tubes having horizontal tangential liq. distribution outlets at intervals along them. The liq. is thus distributed onto the grating and descends to the liq. surface below with an absolute minimum of turbulence. The grating pref. consists of tubes or rods which are rounded at least on the upper side in partic. of a raft of floating hollow tubes. Used for the prodn. of yoghurt or other milk products in a coagulation vessel. The interposition of the grating between the distribution rotor and the liquid surface reduces the disturbance to that surface to an absolute minimum.
