摘要
The pyrolysis of mineral-contg. solid organic waste materials is carried out by (a) comminuting the material to a particle size of 25 mm (4 mm, esp. 2.38mm) and drying it; (b) mixing the material with a non-reactive carrier gas and hot mineral particles (see below); (c) passing the mixt. under turbulent flow conditions through a pyrolysis zone maintained at a temp. above 315 degrees C but below the fitting temp. of the mineral particles (pref. 315-925 degrees C, esp. 425-760 degrees C) to form a carbon-contg. residue, condensable oils and gases; (d) separating the residue (mixed with mineral particles); and (e) decarbonising at least part of the residue to form additional mineral particles at a temp. below their m. pt. The process can be used to treat a wide range of industrial wastes and/or domestic refuse from which large-sized useful components (metals, paper, etc.), have been removed. The decarbonised mineral particles are superior to the C-contg. residue as a heat source since they have better wear resistance, a higher apparent density and better fluidising properties.
