The float is carried on a short arm screwed into a transverse operating arm which is pivoted in the forked end of the jet head. The latter is axially offset from the support to accentuate the reduction of travel of the operating arm. A tapped hole in the end of the arm accepts the threaded end of the seal carrier which can thus be precisely adjusted relative to the jet head. When adjusted, it is locked in position by a nut, a large washer being interposed to act as a jet breaker. Additional adjustment is possible by screwing the float arm in or out of its attachment to the operating arm. Pressure of the seal on the jet exit is increased by forming the latter with a conical surface.
