Ball and float valves. - A combined stop-cock and ball and float valve for flushing &c. cisterns, as shown in Fig. 4, is provided with an adjustable ball-arm to avoid the necessity of bending the same, and with a removable sliding cap or top-piece B, Figs. 3 and 4, to give ready access to the valve member for replacing the washer. The cap B is rabbeted to slide on a flange C of the casing and is secured in position by a thumb-screw D. The ball-arm adjustment comprises a quadrant having therein a series of tapped holes to receive the adjusting thumb-screw.
