Low temperature blood storage vessel - has stainless steel jacket for disposable plastics liners

The vessel stores blood at very low temperatures, also enabling it to be unfrozen rapidly. It has two portions, one inside the other and one of them being reusable. One outer portion can be used to accommodate a number of inner portions. A device can be included for keeping the thickness constant to assist freezing, and also for immersing the vessel in liquid nitrogen. The design affords a system for storing large quantities of blood at cryogenic temperatures, and the stainless steel outer portion can be used again.
