Hinged cover for stationary horizontal gas tank - has concealed fixings and concealed hinges to protect valves and fittings when locked

The cover is used to protect the valves and fittings of a stationary horizontal gas tank against the weather and vandalism. It comprises a base (1) with internal concealed fixings (11) to brackets already on the tank. Each end (103, 104) is angled (a, b, c) to fit the curve of the tank. The lid (2) is deep enough to cover the contents and is ribbed. It is fitted to the base by means of concealed hinges (3) on the inside, these being interconnected by a metal rod. A catch or lock (12) is fitted and an aperture (22) in the lid is provided for the safety valve.
