Trace elements and other minerals or organic chemicals are fixed to fresh vegetable extracts prepd. by the vegetable material to light and air for 5-6 days, then grinding and autoclaving at 100 degrees C). The trace elements are fixed by heating salts of the metals (e.g. Zn, Mn, Cu, Mg) for 6-8 hrs. at 100 degrees C. The salts used are unstable at the temp. used. (e.g. carbonates or bicarbonates). The process may also be used to fix, e.g. eitric, tartan or malic acids. The prods. are useful as cosmetics, e.g. face or hair lotions.
