Degreasing oily substrate with emulsifier compsn. - contg. aromatic oil, ethoxylated fatty acid, sorbitol monoester and nonionic surfactant

New degreasing compsn. capable of dissolving oil deposits consists, by wt., of: (A) =75% of =1 aromatic oil having b.pt. =204 degrees C and flash point =82 degrees C; (B) 10-12 (10.36-12)% of (1) R-COO(CH2CH2O)n-H (where R is opt. unsatd. 12-22C hydrocarbyl; and n is 5-10) and/or a fatty acid monoester of sorbitol, contg. 12-22C in fatty acid gp., and (C) 1-15% of =1 additional low-foaming, nonionic surfactant. Compsn. is used to remove oil sludges, waxy crude oils heating oils and light oils from surfaces, e.g. tank bottoms, surfaces of tankers and lorries. The compsn. allows quick, safe cleaning.
