A liq. aq. detergent mixt. contains (A) as anionic surfactant, an internal sulpho-fatty acid acid polyglycol alkyl ester, obtd. by sulphonation of unsatd. esters of formula R1CO-(C2H40)nOR2 with gaseous SO3, and (B) as nonionic surfactant, an alkyl polyglycol ether obtd. by addn. of 1-10 mols of ethylene oxide to an 8-18C (un)branched alcohol with 0-3 C=C bonds. In formula, R1CO = 16-22C unsatd. fatty acyl residue with 1-3 C=C bonds; n = 0-20; R2 = 1-18C alk(en)yl. Pref. compsn. or, more pref. R1CO = oleic acid residue; n = 0; R2 = 4-8C branched alkyl. The ratio of (A):(B) = 10:90-70:30. USE/ADVANTAGE - Use of the mixt. for prepn. of liq. washing and cleaning compsns. is claimed. Highly concn. aq. solns. of the mixt. are free flowing.
