The drape for operative interventions permits sterile coverage of the body while exposing an operation field of variable, predetermined size on any part of the body. The medical drape comprises two separate parts (1, 2), at least one part (1) having a recess (4) which is open from the edge and preferably has round bordering lines. The second part (2) of the drape is then placed in a manner overlapping with the part (1) on to the patient's body in such a way that an operation field (6) of the desired size is exposed. In a further embodiment both parts can be provided with recesses of this type thus increasing further the possible variations in size and shape of the operation fields. IMAGE
