New 20,21-dinoreburnamenine derivatives are disclosed which have the formula I IMAGE (I) wherein the hydroxyl in the 14-position of the molecule is in either of the two possible positions at the carbon atom in the 14-position to which the isomers A and B correspond and the hydrogens in the 3-position and the 16-position of the molecule are in cis- or in trans-position to each other, and their pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts, as well as pharmaceutical formulations thereof. The new compounds of formula I are prepared by reducing the corresponding 14-oxoderivatives. They are effective in favorably influencing the cerebral vascular circulation.
