Keyless padlock for once only application - has self locking bracket, and spring loaded steel ball locking mechanism

A U-shaped steel bracket fits into two matching blind holes in the lock body. Two spring loaded steel balls located in a transverse hole between and near the end of the bracket holes engage recesses in the bracket when this is pressed into the lock body. Once assembled, the bracket can not be retracted and only by destroying it can the lock be removed. In a variation to the above locking system, a spring loaded tapered plug is located in a hole which is parallel to and equally spaced between the two bracket holes. When the bracket is inserted, two sleeves are displaced, allowing the steel balls to engage the bracket grooves. The spring loaded plug prevents the steel balls from closing, thus the bracket stays permanently locked.
