SPLIT BEARING FOR WANKEL ENGINEABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSUREA multi-rotor Wankel type rotary engine is disclosedhaving an intermediate or center bearing assembly for theeccentric shaft in addition to end bearing assemblies. Thecenter bearing is split along a central plane for specialassembly techniques. The intermediate housing, receiving thecenter bearing, is substantially hollow and has a sectorinterrupting the hollow interior to act as a support for oneof the split portions of the center bearing. The portionsare joined to the sector by a pair of bolts extending onlythrough the sector and split bearing portions.
