The tunnel lining for mining includes a layer of concrete (5) followed by a fleece layer (7), then a moisture barrier layer (9). This can be a glass fibre reinforced foil which contains magnetic metal, secured by a hot sealed adhesive. This is mounted on anchor bolts (15) passing through the cement layer, each with a magnetic metal head (13), and also carrying the adhesive. A permanent magnet (17) with a securing rod (18) extending from it can be used to hold the foil onto the bolt underneath and heated to harden the adhesive coating. The foil can be marked in advance by a paint so that the position can be located for the following operation.
