Reinforced concrete wall formwork unit fixing spacer - with supports both sides lying against form walls and reinforcement attachments

The space-retainers are fitted between the formwork units used in the erection of reinforced concrete walls, enabling the wall thickness to be kept within narrow tolerance limits, and enabling fixtures for the reinforcing bars to be accurately sited. Formwork suports (3) are mounted on the retainer (1) on both sides, in such a way that they lie against the form walls (6) in a punctiform or linear pattern. There are media (4, 8) for attachment of reinforcing bars (7) on the retainer at the prescribed wall interval. The space-retainer may have a clasp movably mounted on it, at inclined angle to the inside surface (8), resiliently pressed onto the reinforcing bar. The three functions of form wall spacing, reinforcing bar attachment and form wall fixing are performed by a single unit.
