1532645 Duplicating ADDRESSOGRAPHMULTIGRAPH CORP 3 Dec 1975 [30 Dec 1974] 49713/75 Heading B6C Duplicating apparatus comprises two print heads 12, 42, a copy sheet feed system, and a master feed system wherein the top master of a pile 102 can be conveyed to one of the print heads, the second to the other print head, printing performed for a predetermined number of operations, the masters ejected, and the next two masters attached, and so on. The copy sheets may be printed twice on one side, or, by means of known sheet-turning apparatus 59, perfected. The stack of masters may be replaced by a known plate-making machine, A control system is described (Figs. 3 and 7, not shown) which enables the apparatus to print on both sides, on one side in two colours, on one side using a single print head, or with one of the print heads having a non-charging master attached thereto. By suitable choice of the order and orientation of the masters in the stack, various formats and arrangements of the final printed image can be obtained. In particular, if a blank page is required, then a blank master is inserted in the stack.
