The Gunn diode reflection amplifier has at least one stub line in the input line for the wanted frequency. The length of this stub line and its distance from the point at which the weanted signal is coupled into the cavity resonator containing the Gunn diode, is such that a short circuit is presented at this coupling-in point to the frequency of oscillation. - The stub line is radial. The wanted signals line is coaxial and its outer conductor is connected to the wall of the resonator and its inner conductor directly to the Gunn diode.
