N-Sulphonyl-aminocarboxylic acids of formula (I) and their pharmaceutically acceptable salts are new (R is methyl, isopropyl or p-nitrobenzyl). They are more active vs. influenza virus than amantadine and rimantadine. They can be administered orally or parenterally. Effective daily doses are 400 mg/day orally and 200 mg/day parenterally. They can be prepd. by Schotten-Baumen reaction using N-2-fluorene sulphonyl chloride and alanine, valine or 4-nitrophenyl alanine.
