The oil sealing arrangements for trochoidal rotary piston engines apply to generally conventional engines with a spring-loaded ring oil seal located radially inside the compression seals bearing against the cylinder and face. A piston-ring tupe oil seal inside the piston is held by gas pressure against the sidewall of a groove in a flange on the eccentric. - To ensure availability of this gas pressure., an axial hole is drilled in the end face, inside the swept area of the compression seals and outside that of the outer oil seal, connecting via a non-return valve with the space outside the inner seal.
