Compact unit, has vapourisation and condenser components, pressure reduction valve and compressor heat pump, the heat constant introduced into the cooling medium circulation system by the compressor can be carried away, from the space to be dehumidified, by the water flooding over the condenser which is sited immediately behind it. The condenser unit may comprise three condensers in tandem, with a large outside heat transfer surface on the second and third which are mounted in an air duct. Compressor and water intake may be hygrostatically and/or thermostatically controlled. The whole conditioning plant may be in two detachably joined components, one housing dehumidifying plant, and the other housing filter, circulating pump and pool water heating generator. This is effective with high outside temp. and humidity levels.
