Injection-moulded plastics article lacquered in same mould - by partly opening mould to inject lacquer thus eliminating extra equipment

After the article has been moulded, the two part mould is opened slightly to give a lacquer opening; the lacquer is injected into this and is hardened in the mould. The mould is opt. subjected to vacuum during the lacquer injection adn may be re-closed onto the lacquer. The lacquer may be injected from one side, esp. at high pressure. There a two-component lacquer (catalyst and monomer) is used, the catalyst may be added to the matl. of the moulding, and the monomer only injected into the lacquer opening in the second injection. In all variants, the lacquer (or monomer) injection may take place when the moulding is not yet fully hardened.
