Equipment for stacking roof tiles includes a first belt conveyor for delivery the tiles and a second belt conveyor for taking away the stacked tiles. Between the delivery conveyor and the second conveyor are located at least four clamping devices (5) which are spaced an equal distance apart and transport the roof tiles between the first and second conveyor (2, 3). The second conveyor (3) is lowered by equipment (10) to receive the roof tiles transferred from the clamping devices (5). The clamping devices (5) are movably mounted on a rotating cross (4) positioned between the conveyors (2, 3). Each clamping device (5) consists of two opposite grab plates (29) activated by compressed air cylinders (28).
