The central sequence controller for programme-controlled telephone exchanges consists of a central timer (TG) which supplies constant frequency stepping pulses for a central counter (ZG). The counter is associated with two registers (ZG-SP1)(ZG-SP2). The first contains the start address (A-AD) of the register section in the first part of the time sequence and the second contains the final address of the register section forming the last part of the chain (E-AD). Each equipment has an associated register section with an address for connection in the forward direction (V-AD) and an address for coupling in the reverse direction (R-AD). A third section of the register is for the time identification word (ZW).
