Multi-unit gas filter with reverse jet blowback - with valves allowing blowback fan to put suction on filter elements after cleaning

The blowback air fan of a filter installation has valves on suction and delivery so that it may either draw in atmospheric air and deliver to the blowback duct, or alternatively suck from the blowback duct and deliver into the clean gas outlet. Use for multi-unit sock or bag filters for cleaning dusty gases, and which have reverse air jet element cleaning systems. During the reverse-jet cleaning cycle the sock element being cleaned is ballooned out away from its internal support cage, and only returns to its normal position on the support by reason of the gas pressure difference is small. The blowback fan places additional suction on the interior of a cleaned element and thus speeds up return to normal position. The overall filter operating cycle is thus speeded up.
