Thixotropic reactive dye formulations - contain highly disperse colloidal silica as the stabiliser

A stabiliser for liq., conc. reactive dyestuff formulations comprises highly dispersed colloidal silica. By supplying the formulations as pasty compsns. to the dye house, difficulties in making up the dyebaths (esp. dusting) are avoided. The formulations are stable for months at temps. of =60 degrees C and even temps. below their f.pt. do not cause phase sepn. The amt. of silica added is pref. 0.5-1.5 wt.%.
