Electromagnet with casing made from stampings - consists of two sections with U:shaped folded flanges anchoring coil and one end sealed by stampings

The electromagnet which consists of an armature, oil and a magnetic casing made from stampings. The magnetic casing is made from two equal size tamperings (1, 2). Each extends along the coil (3). They are made with U-shaped folded flanges (4, 5) at one end of the coil. This is used to surround and anchor the end of the coil mechanically. They extend into the armature section (6) and together with the armature (7) form the pole core. The other coil end is closed off with a stamping which is mechanically connected to the stampings (1, 2) of the casing.
