The road-surfacing machine has laterally extensible adjusting boards mounted behind a main board, for adaptation of the operating width, with telescopically extensible guide tubes supported on the main board to guide these. A connection, which can move in the boards direction of displacement, is fitted between the main board and an end of each guide tube facing away from the adjusting board. An end of each adjusting board facing the main board may carry guide units moving in sliding guideways on the latter. Operative adjustment can be effected over a greater width.
