Column head for chromatography in aq. or non-aq. solvents systems allows operation under press. Pref. press. can be varied at any time, even during operation, by adjusting a knurled screw, and changes in vol. of the round cord ring due to temp. can be equalised. Corrosive solvents can be introduced due to the use of sealing rings sheathed in "Teflon" (RTM). The column head consists of a "Teflon" (RTM) body with external and internal threads, a square recess, a cylindrical adaptor, and a vertical bore of 1-1.5 mm. It further comprises the sealing ring, a cylindrical "Teflon" (RTM) ring, two knurled nuts, a ring, and two screws.
