Building model compsn. consists of inorganic and/or organic solids bonded by organopolysiloxane binders, pref. polydimethylsiloxanes, having viscosity 5-50000 cSt (20 degrees C). Compsns. can reproduce any soil consistency and are useful for civil engineering models. The organopolysiloxanes are chemically neutral, have a wide viscosity range, favourable relxation times, high plasticity, good bonding properties for individual fillers and can be handled cleanly. Compsns. may have frictional angle 0-40 degrees, cohesion 0.02-0.45 kp/cm2, tensile strength 0.002-0.1 kp/cm2, breaking strength 0.2-1 kp/cm2, E- modulus 1-18 kp/cm2, relaxation time 3-15 hrs., specific wt. 1.4-2.5 g/cc.
