Saturated steam separator with dry steam superheating - has superheater and several jacketed heating steam supply tubes

The combined moisture separator/superheater has nests of tubes arranged in such a way that ensures a free expansion of all pipes following considerable temp. fluctuations. The steam to be treated enters via flanged connection (4) housing (1) located on the bottom part of the superheater. Through suitably shaped holes the steam enters the superheater space and flows laterally to the nests of tubes (5) where the superheating takes place and the superheated steam leaves the superheater via connection (6). The heating steam is introduced into the superheated via tube (16) fitted inside jacket tube (15). Both tubes penetrate tube plate (7) and (8). Tube plate is rigidly connected with the housing, tube plate (8) in which the ends of tubes (5) as well as those of tubes (25) and (16) terminate, is mounted floatingly in the housing with distance pieces (10) keeping the tube plate in a central position.
