The contacts are connected to the switch terminals, and the bimetal plate is a snap-action plate. It is designed to operate a set of contacts through a pushrod. The two chambers are connected with each other by threads (4, 19) and the push-rod (10) is held at one end (9) in a hole (8) in the bimetal plate (7), and at the other in a hole (16) in a contact (14).
