Multicore cable capping system - is for cables filled with petroleum jelly and uses cap filled with epoxy resin and shrinking sleeve

The capping device is resistant to tension. After the layers of the cable sheath (2) are removed, petroleum jelly is removed from the bared core (3). The insulation is stripped from the ends of the wires which are bent over backwards, and a cap (4) filled with epoxy resin (5) is put on. Finally, after the resin has hardened, trapping the ends of the wires, a sleeve (6) is put on the cable end which shrinks on heating. The sleeve fits on the outside of the end of the cable sheath and fits over the outside of the cap (4). It compresses the bared core (3).
