Turnip harvesting machine with a turnip bunker which can be emptied transverse to the direction of travel where this bunker has a conveyor such as a conveyor floor, which moves the turnips to the emptying end, with feed elements on loop drives. A drive shaft at the emptying end is coupled with a drive. The bunker (3) has a conveyor (10) which is divided twice in its emptying width in the machine longitudinal direction. This conveyor can be driven on the complete emptying width and only on part of the area. The one section of the conveyor (10a or 10b) is permanently coupled with the drive while the other section of the conveyor (10b or 10a) can b coupled with the drive.
