Several parallel supports (4) to accept containers (5) for the seedlings are firmly fitted to a carrier (3) which is connected to a vertical, central shaft (1). Independent irrigation systems (6) are arranged in each plane above the supports (4). The carriers (3) can be turned about the central shaft (1) together with the containers (5) and/or the irrigation systems (6). The irrigation systems (6) are pref. fixed, and the carriers (3) can be turned about the shaft (1) with the containers (5) by means of an electric motor (8).
