Grit spraying fitting for car - has grit reservoirs in bank of four in boot and uses spare wheel as pressurised air reservoir

The boot of the car is fitted with a bank of four grit reservoirs (3) each of which is connected to grit spraying jets in front of a respective wheel. The grit is forced out of the jets by compressed air from a pump (12). The spare wheel (10) is used as a pressure reservoir, and is kept to a set pressure by a pressure control valve (13). The whole assembly can be fitted into any conventional car. The assembly is further fitted with additional pumps (14) to boost the grit spreading if the spare wheel is removed.
