Bottle carton packing system - has cartons for several bottles positioned in compartments of subdivided plastics crate

A packing system for blttles includes a carton for a number of bottles and a plastics crate. The crate is divided by partitions in a number of compartments for accommodating one carton in each compartment. The carton has between its bottom and walls stamped out openings which locate the bottles in the carton. Each compartment is subdivided in number of predetermined positions for the bottles by a column attached to its bottom. The bottom edges of at least two walls (1, 4) of a compartment are provided with inwards facing projections (9, 11). The distance between bottom edges of two opposite projections (9, 11) is smaller than the sum of diameters of bottles positioned between the projections.
