Bottle packing system in carton - places carton over neck end of bottle set, then thrusts set inside

The carton is first placed part of the way over a set of bottles resting on a support, from the neck end, the flaps being open and in the same planes as the carton sides. The set of bottles is then thrust inside the carton to allow flap closure. This latter operation can be effected by thrusting the bottles upwards into the carton. The tapered neck of the bottles assists the sliding of the outer carton sleeve over the group of bottles. The bottle group is moved into the carton by a ram having a wheel moving along a ramped cam surface.
