The water sprinkler has an axial water outlet aperture in a cylindrical housing. The sprinkler (1) has a truncated cone shaped cover (2), with an axial bore (3) for the water outlet at an angle (4), which determines the radial jet direction. The cover is located on a hollow cylindrical lower housing (6) with a base (5). The water inlet (7) opens tangentially into the cylinder wall of the lower housing. The angle (9) of the truncated cone (10) on the cover deviates from the angle (4) of the bore (3). The lower housing base has outward-projecting reinforcements (11), e.g. tips with barbs (12), to anchor the sprinkler in the ground (14).
