摘要
The wooden roof structure mainly comprises ceiling beams and rafters. Rafters, both opposite to one another and adjacent to one another, are held together at the ridge ends (2) by a common double-trapezoid timber or round timber (6), extending over the whole ridge length. The roof ends are cut to match the trapezoid timber, fitting against it; or fit into cylindrical recesses in the round timber, formed by semi-cylindrical recesses brought together. The base end of the rafter lies on a standard base sill, secured against danger or displacement. Construction is simplified, with no need for fishplates and pincer clamps, and rapid erection is feasible, using flat roofing elements, leaving a roof spave with closed internal surfaces.
