摘要
A ski brake consists of two separate hinged arms which are located on the top surface of the ski. The two arms are connected by a link rod, located on the side of the ski, and are thus forced to move together. The pivot pin of the larger brake arm also carries a torsion coil spring. Normally, the brake is held in its inactive position by the ski boot located in the ski binding. When the boot and ski separate, the torsion spring rotates the main brake arm to its operating position. The second brake arm is also moved to its operating position due to the connecting rod.
