The furniture units is used as an attachment for a piano. The furniture unit consists of a lower section (3) which reaches up to the top of the keyboard (2) of a piano and an upper section (4) connected to it at an obtuse angle. The upper section (4) with the top surface (5) has height and depth measurements corresponding to those of the piano. The furniture unit includes a lighting unit (8) below the top surface but above the height of the keyboard, and a swivel out writing base. The lower part includes a humidifier as well as vertically divided compartments for the storage of music.
