Cold sterilisation of bottles - by dipping in sulphurous acid with emission diluted by air inlet ducts around vat access

Bottles are cold sterilised by dipping in a cell wheel through a bath of sulphurous acid. Above and below the bottle feed and discharge opening, air ducts are arranged across the full width; they communicate with an extractor fan leading to the chimney. The consumption of fresh watr and of make-up acid is reduced. The environmental pollution by the chimney emission is considerably improved.
