摘要
The mono-ski consists of a board with a flat central surface (4) extending the whole length of the ski. The surface on either side of this central strip slopes slightly upwards in two stages (5). Metal edges (10) are inserted in the ski at the intersection of surfaces sloping at different angles. The mono-ski can be steered by the skier placing his weight along one of the edges. This increases the friction along that edge giving rise to a turning moment which causes the skier in a curve. The main patent is for a mono-ski with a continuous convex undersurface and this addition offers the stepped sloping surfaces as an alternative.
