The toilet flushing cistern has an outlet valve which is closed immediately after release of its actuating lever by gravity. The valve loading weight consists of two halves forming clamping jaws held together by a spring. This weight assembly is clamped on the actuating lever system by the clamping seats in the weight halves. The split clamping weight plates (10, 20) have, at one end edge, a round seat for a flanged hinge pin (40) about which both halves are able to rotate. The clamping spring (30) ends are held on weight plates away from the hinge pin. the rectangular clamping weight plates have notches forming seats for clamping on rods of different shapes.
